Johor polls resignation row continued after Umno Youth chief Akmal Saleh renewed pressure on Housing and Local Government Minister Nga Kor Ming following Barisan Nasional’s strong Johor election performance.

Akmal posted an old resignation letter from his own time as a Melaka executive councillor, saying it could serve as a template for Nga if the minister intended to resign.
The exchange follows earlier remarks by Nga that became a political talking point during the Johor campaign. After BN’s sweeping victory, Akmal again urged him to respond to the pledge dispute.

Akmal had announced in January that he was stepping down as a Melaka state executive councillor, although Chief Minister Ab Rauf Yusoh later said the resignation was not accepted. The post-election argument now remains part of the wider political fallout.
